Terrible Twos

We have officially entered the Terrible Twos. My sweet little boy has moment where he can turn into this.....





Crying, screaming, hitting, and biting are just a few of the lovely things that my child will do during a "fit."

I understand that this can be considered as normal behavior during the Terrible Twos but it doesn't make it any easier to handle.

My biggest struggle is that he WILL NOT eat. I mean anything. Right the ONLY things that he will eat most of the time is yogurt covered raisins, applesauce, and pretzels. Forget about real vegetables. Any kind of protein, not a chance. Thank god he still drinks his milk twice a day. After each meal time I feel like throwing a "fit!"

I know that I'm extra sensitive about his food intake because he was a preemie and has always been low side of percentages for his weight. He is also a thrower upper. I mean a slight gag and his entire meal comes up. He also (occasionally) throws up during bedtime or nap but that is a whole other post.


If anyone has ANY advise on how to weather the storm I'd gladly take it!!

Our Trip not Vacation

We went to Okaloosa Island this past week for our yearly family vacation. My parents joined us for part of the time. Apparently Ben decided that he didn't want to go away that week and made his feelings know. I've mentioned before that Ben has some sleep issues but he had resolved almost a year ago. Well they surfaced the first night we were there and continued every night after. He threw up everyday either before nap, bedtime, or both. It is SO NOT FUN to clean up on vacation.

The second day we were there Ben ran into the corner of a piece of furniture. Blood was everywhere. I thought that he was going to need stitches but he was fine, thankfully.


The rest of the week Ben decide that the max allotted time on the beach/pool was 30 minutes. This kind of threw a wrench into the whole laying on the beach doing nothing plan. My husband was great about this, plus Ben was completely attached to him the whole week. I was able to have some quiet time on the beach. We were lucky because we ended up having some fun and had beautiful weather everyday.

Seems like yesterday

Jason and I were married five years ago today!!! I can't believe that we've been married that long. The time has flown by! I can look back at my wedding and say that it was perfect. Everything that really matter to me was wonderful. Happy Anniversary baby!! I love you and can't wait to spend the next 50 years with you!!

Favorite of the Moment

Ben's favorite book of the moment is Gallop. It's very cool because as you turn the page it looks like the animal is moving. Ben love to turn the pages as fast as he can. Another reason he loves it, the horse on the front.
