This past weekend Jason and I were watching "Peter Pan" (I know were so cool) and starting think how much Benjamin resembled Michael from Peter Pan. The more I watched the movie the more I thought they looked alike. Let me know what you think!

And He's Off........
Apparently, our little boy is full of surprises. On Friday, Ben decided to get off my lap and WALK to his Daddy about five feet away! He had taken a few steps here and there, but nothing like this. We were very excited and happy to both be able to see his first steps.
What came next was mind blowing to say the least. We were hoping that he would walk a little more, but Ben decided that he was ready to do some more exploring. A few steps were not enough for this daredevil. Out of nowhere, he walked from our back kitchen door to the laundry room...this about twenty feet away from the another! It didn't stop there. The rest of the night he was walking all around the house; stopping here and there, but still walking. We are both amazed with him!
More pleasant surprises came at Ben's 15 month check up this week. He is doing great! I am always concerned when we go to the doctor to learn his new percentiles, since he was a preemie. He is up to the 10th percentile in weight, which is huge! He was at the 3rd on his last check up. His height is between the 75th - 90th percentile! This is all on the regular growth chart! He was measured on a special preemie chart in the beginning, because he was so small at birth. With an adjusted age of only 13 months, you can imagine how happy we are with this progress.

Guilty Pleasure
I have to confess....I like reality TV. One of my favorite summer shows is "Tori and Dean:Home Sweet Hollywood." I have always LOVED 90210 so this was a natural thing to watch. I was surprised by how much I liked the show. Tori was much more "normal" than I thought. Another thing that makes me watch it is Liam and Ben are a few weeks apart in age and I think it's fun to see what he's doing.
The other show that I just started watching is the "The Baby Borrowers." It's kind of like a train wreck that you can't turn away from. I can't believe that they found real parents who would give their child to other children to watch. It should be birth control for teenagers just watching the show.
The last show that I watch is "Hopkins." It's kind of like a docu-drama. Last week's show was centering around a woman getting a lung transplant. I have to admit that I teared up during the show. I don't usually do that sort of thing but for some reason it made me emotional. I'm looking forward to seeing what this week will be about.

What a difference a year makes!
I can't get over all the changes Ben has gone through since this time last year. He was still on his heart monitor ( which was a major pain), having REALLY bad reflux, and sleeping 6-7 hours a night. Now he is a big boy! He sleeps 11-12 hours a night, almost no signs of reflux, and hasn't needed any kind of monitor for 11 months! We feel so blessed to have this very happy little boy in our lives. He truly is a gift from God. I hope that everyone had a great 4th July! We did!
