I woke up this morning not remembering what the date was........I should have stopped right there and know it was going to be a rough day.
I thought it might be okay since Ben decided to sleep until 8:00. I was wrong.
Around 8:20 I checked my calendar... okay it's Monday the 24th ..... we have 9am doctor's appt!
No shower yet. We're still in our pj's.
We need to leave the house in no less than 10 minutes to make it there on time IF there's no traffic.
Thank goodness Ben's drank his milk already.
I throw clothes on myself and Ben and we are out the door.
We make it to appt. on time.
Ben is reasonably happy at this point.
We meet with the doctor for about 30 minutes and then it's time to go.
Apparently my son did not think this was a wise idea.
He had a MAJOR meltdown.
By MAJOR, I mean screaming, crying, hitting, and pulling my hair.
I'm sure all the other patients were thinking he was getting some kind of shot but no, my son does not want to leave the toy elephant in the room.
It gets so bad the doctor has to help me keep Ben from grabbing my hair.
I leave my bags and say I will be right back for them after I put him in the car.
Once I have Ben strapped in I turn around to see the doctor has followed me out with my bags.
I was so embarrassed I could have cried.
She reassures me that this happens to all parents of two years old.
This does little to make feel anything but wanting to run away as fast as I can.
Naptime could not come soon enough today. I hope he sleeps until his father gets home! (Just kidding, kind of...)

Oh dear I am not looking forward to these years bc as the doctor said it will happen to us ALL! Don't feel bad:)
yes, my dear, it has happened to us all. i think we try to erase those memories from our mind. here's hoping for a better day tomorrow.
Those are definitely the days that I wish I could curl up and take a nap until Leo gets home!
I'm hoping the rest of your day gets better, sweetie!
I would say your dr is totally right. Sounds normal to me!
